Membership Questions

How do I get a Library card?

Your first Library card is free. Bring a picture ID and something with proof of your current address to the main desk at the Library.

You can also register online for a temporary card. This will allow you to search the catalog and reserve books.

Can I pay my fines online?

Yes. You can log into Your Library Account.

Once in you account, you can select ‘Fines’ and you will be prompted to use OCLN’s online bill pay.

How do I check my Library account?

You can log into your OCLN account online. From here, you can view your checkouts and holds. You can also renew books online.

How do I renew a book?

You can log into your OCLN account online. From here, you can view your checkouts and holds. You can also renew books online.

How do I reserve a book/place a hold?

You can reserve a book by logging into your OCLN account. Once you are logged in, you can search for books, DVDs, etc. and place holds on items from inside the OCLN network.

Library Questions

How do I book a museum pass?

The Friends of the Library provide a number of discounted museum passes for Library users. You can see what we have to offer and reserve passes online.

Passes will need to be picked up at the Library.

How do I download a book?

The Library offers a number of digital services. They can be found on our Explore pages.

The easiest way to download books is by using the Library’s Overdrive service. You can log in to Overdrive using your Library card number and your PIN.

You can figure out how to download books with Overdrive’s Getting Started feature.

Does the Library have computers? Can I print?

The Library has a number of public access computers, located on the first and second floor. The computers have internet access and word processing available. These computers are connected to a print station.

You can log onto the computers using your Library Card. Black and white printing is 10 cents a page.

Does the Library have WiFi?

The Library has WiFi access throughout the building. The access is free and there is no log in required.

Does the Library have a fax service, photo copier, or scanner?

The Library does NOT have a public fax machine.

The Library does have a photocopier. It is located on the first floor near the Circulation Desk. There is a charge for copying.

The does have a public scanner. You are able to scan documents to a USB drive or to email. There is no charge for this service.

How do I reserve a room, or book a meeting?

The Library has two meeting spaces that are available for reservation. For more information about the room sizes, rental costs, and other policies, please check out our Meeting Room Policy.

To put in a room request, you can use our online system.

Who can display in the art gallery?

The Library is pleased to invite applications for exhibitions of artwork to be displayed in the Library Wotiz Gallery.

Applications may be submitted at any time.

When is the Library closed for holidays?

Here is a list of holidays that the Library is closed. There may be other closings in addition to these.
