During the month of July, Milton resident Joyce Caggiano will exhibit her artwork in the Wotiz Gallery. Caggiano began her artistic journey at the age of 7 with a “paint by numbers” kit. Bored by the tedium, she began taking art classes from teachers who encouraged her pursuit. Today her works span many media, including soft sculpture. The exhibit title is “Facing It.” Facing life’s joys and struggles are reflected inthe colorful images on canvas and in three dimensional figures. Beginning with various portraits in oils and continuing with a display of her soft sculpture dolls (often replicas of friends, relatives and famous characters). From the joys of dancing to the sadness of bereavement, Caggiano brings us from birth to death in images and sculptures. Please stop by at her free and open reception on Tuesday, July 2nd between the hours of 5 and 7 PM to meet the artist and view her lovely work.
