Join fellow Milton resident, Dr. Monique Tello as she shares tips and advice for starting healthy habits for your heart. Tonight she gives insights from her recently published book Healthy Habits for Your Heart: 100 Simple, Effective Ways to Lower Your Blood Pressure and Maintain Your Heart’s Health (c2018). Your heart is the center of your body – treat it right! Understanding how your heart works and what you can do to keep it healthy is the key to preventing disease and illness. In Dr. Tello’s book, you’ll find over 100 heart-related habits, exercises, and straegies you can implement in your daily life to improve your heart health now and for years to come. Dr. Monique Tello is a practicing primary care physician at Massachusetts General Hospital, an instructor at Harvard Medical School, and a published clinical resesarcher. She is originally from the Boston area and graduated from Brown University and the University of Vermont College of Medicine. She will be joined at this program by her husband, “sports guy” Bob Socci, who does the radio play for the Patriots. He wants to tell those who attend how much he loves the plant-based diet suggested by this book, and even has some healthy recipes to share! This program is proudly sponsored by the Friends of the Milton Public Library and is free and open to the public. Please come.
