The Northern Moose/Virtual

Tuesday, March 4, 2025
TIME: 7pm - 8pm LOCATION: Virtual CONTACT: Jean Hlady, 617.698.5757

Join us this evening for another interesting virtual animal talk via Zoom!

Follow professional wildlife photographer Bob Michelson as he documents the life history and behaviors exhibited by the Northern Moose in Maine.  This presentation will also show current research efforts to learn more about the largest moose population in the United States outside of Alaska – which is in Maine.  The estimated moose population of 75,000 animals is under stress by an infestation of winter ticks on young calves at a growing rate every year in the springtime, causing the youngsters to become anemic and greatly reducing their survivability in the wild.    Mr. Michelson will illustrate his talk with his wonderful photos also.

You must register here to receive the Zoom link to participate.  Questions?  Email jhlady@milton.ocln.org or call the Reference Dept. (617-898-4964).

This program is kindly sponsored by the Friends of the Milton Public Library and is free and open to all.
