Back to School
September 01, 2016 | Miss Sara

It’s a little quieter in the library these days, as all of our young friends are heading back to school for another exciting year of learning! While summer fun may be behind us, I’m still thinking about it because I am positively overwhelmed by the success of this year’s summer reading program. Let’s recap this year’s amazing numbers:
- 1,892 readers registered for this summer’s Reading Challenge
- Together, you blew past our goal and read 686,328 minutes!
Congratulations to everyone who participated – we are so proud of you!
Looking forward to fall, we’ve got lots of great programming planned for you. Some of our old friends are returning to offer popular programs like Mel O’Drama, Cooks ‘n Books, and Yoga with Jill – and we’re launching new programs too. Is the library offering any singalong programs for my preschooler? How can I improve on my light saber skills? And what the heck is the SPUB Club? Get the lowdown on all of our fall events by visiting our online calendar HERE.
The Children’s Room wishes all of our families a wonderful school year. Please let us know how we can help make it a success!
