TOMORROW: Summer Reading Begins!

June 22, 2016

The moment you’ve all been waiting for is finally here. Summer Reading starts tomorrow, Thursday, June 23!

This means two important things for you, my young reading friends:

  1. You can start logging minutes! Click here to log some now. We hope you’ll read 30 minutes a day over the course of the summer in order to keep your mind sharp, win prizes, and have fun! We’re trying to beat last year’s goal of 484,000 minutes read town-wide – if we do, the Milton Rotary will make a contribution on our behalf to the Special Olympics. Help us make that happen!
  2. jungle jimCome to the library tomorrow at 4pm so we can kick off our summer together! Jungle Jim will be here to present his Reading Olympics program, which combines sports, balloons AND magic! For ages 3+; no registration required. For more information click here. Stick around after the show and enjoy strawberries and cream, courtesy of the Friends of the Milton Public Library!

We are so excited to help you have reading fun this summer. Stop by the Children’s Room all season long for recommendations, programs, contests, prizes, and so much more!
