Children’s Blog
Welcome to our new and improved website!
May 31, 2016 | Miss Sara

Kids, I am pleased to welcome you to the new Youth section of the website. Everything you loved and used before is still here – it’s just better! Let me tell you about all of the awesome stuff you can find that’s here just for youth and families:
- Check out the Youth page for a snapshot of what’s happening, including a few highlighted programs, links to our other pages, and my most recent blog post.
- Go to the Children’s Blog page to read current and past blog posts. At the bottom of this page you’ll find my Staff Picks – these are the last few books for youth that I’ve read lately. Click on the books to reserve them in the library catalog for yourself! (If you want to read my reviews on these books, feel free to go to Goodreads and follow me, Sara Truog. I review every book I read, good or bad! Make sure it’s okay with your parents first.)
- The Cool Tools page is the place for the awesome kid-friendly resources we provide access to for Milton students seeking recreation and research help.
- Are you participating in our 2016 Summer Reading Challenge? Visit our Summer Reading page to register, log in to your account, get reading suggestions, or learn more about summer fun.
- Are you growing up and out of the Children’s Room? We’re sad to see you leave us, but fortunately you’ve got a new home on the Teens page 🙂
There are two things families love to use our website for: registering for children’s programs and signing up for museum passes. Here’s how to do those things:
- To register for a program: from our homepage, scroll down to Upcoming Events, then click on View All Events. Scroll down to the event you’re looking for, then click on the Register button to sign up. So easy!
- Even easier – museum passes. Just visit our homepage, and click on the Museum Passes button! Scroll down to the date you’re looking for, and if the pass is available, click on the Request Pass button to sign up.
Have more questions? Feel free to come in and see us, or call the Children’s Room anytime at 617-898-4957. We’re ready to help!
