This virtual program will be a dramatic presentation by Actress Kathryn Woods, as she represents the life of Sojourner Truth. “Sojourner recalls her early days as a slave, details her relationship with God, and shares poignant stories of her days walking through this land. Ms. Woods uses Sojourner’s own words and spiritual music to recreate this truly inspiring woman.” She will tell a fascinating story about an incredible figure who made such a difference with her own perseverance and the way she lived her life. The program is less than one hour long, but there will be time at the end for questions and answers with Ms. Woods about Sojourner’s life and work. Kathryn Woods has acted in Boston for 20 years and her credits include performances with Theatreworks, the People’s Theatre, The Wheelock Family Theatre and the Underground Railway Theatre. She has also performed in Moscow, at the Edinburgh Arts Festival, across the U.S., and on C-SPAN cable TV. This online program will be directed by Cassandra Cato-Louis, Artistic Director, African Repertory Troupe and the play was directed by Mickey Coburn.
