Avid hiker and author Marjorie Turner Hollman will give a presentation about “Easy Walks in Massachusetts” this evening. Her latest book is called Finding Easy Walks Wherever You Are, and she has also written Easy Walks in Massachusetts, More Easy Walks in Masachusetts, and Easy Walks and Paddles in the Ten Mile River Watershed. The outdoors has been a refuge for many of us throughout the pandemic this year. But many places we visit are crowded, and some are not well-suited to our abilities. Join this author virtually and learn about lots of wonderful outdoors spaces that are handicapped-friendly, great for parents, grandparents, and children too!
Can’t walk very far? Distances of each trail are included in her books, along with much more information to help you prepare to have a great time outdoors. This speaker has some great resources for learning about well known but also less traveled walks. Find new trails, learn safety tips, get a list of essential items you need to take with you on every walk, and so much more. She has lots of suggestions, experience and ideas that can help you have a more positive experience in the out-of-doors.
Advance registration is required and once signed up, you will receive a Zoom connection link on the day of the program. This event is kindly sponsored by the Friends of the Milton Public Library and is free and open to the public.
Happy trails! Please join us.
