Orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist – at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Beth Israel Deaconess Milton – Dr. David Magit, MD, will discuss this common orthopedic procedure and how it is used to diagnose and treat joint problems pertaining to the knee, shoulder and elbow. Dr. Magit will also discuss the benefits of arthroscopy and how it can be used to diagnose and treat injuries such as meniscus tears and rotator cuff tears.
Dr. Magit is now seeing patients at the new Beth Israel Lahey Health Care Center in Quincy. He attended medical school at Tufts University School of Medicine and completed his internship and residency trainings at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He then went on to complete fellowship training in sports medicine at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Clinic, and orthopedic trauma training at AO/ASIF International and elbow replacement and reconstruction at St. Joseph’s Health Care. Dr. Magit’s clinical interests include non-operative and operative management of sports-related injuries, traumatic injuries and chronic overuse injuries to the shoulder, elbow and knee. He is a member of the Harvard Meical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
