Tree ID Program with Milton Cemetery

Wednesday, May 17, 2023
TIME: 10am - Noon LOCATION: Milton Cemetery CONTACT: Sara Truog, 617.698.5757
Come for a fun and informative walking tour of historic Milton Cemetery and Arboretum and learn how to identity the trees that make up our classic New England landscape. Each tree has its own special characteristics that will help you determine its species ID.
Walkers will meet in front of the Milton Public Library and proceed as a group to the Cemetery, where Cemetery Superintendent Lisa Ahern will take us on a 90-minute tour. At the end of the tour we’ll return to the Library. Please wear comfortable walking shoes! Registration for this weather-permitting program is required and limited, and will open three weeks prior to the event.

This program is part of Milton Grows: a year-long initiative for all ages focused on gardening and sustainability. Funded by the federal Library Services and Technology Act, administered by the MBLC, and supported by our partners Sustainable Milton and the Friends of the Milton Public Library.
