Accessibility
Services for People with Disabilities
The Milton Public Library is accessible for individuals with physical and intellectual challenges. Library staff is happy to provide assistance in any way.
To help all to fully access to our library and its services we offer:
Home Delivery – Library At Your Doorstep
The MPL partners with Friends of the Library volunteers to offer home delivery to residents who cannot otherwise access our collections. You can contact Jean Hlady for more information: 617-698-4958. For more information visit our Library at your Doorstep page.
Desktop Video Magnifier
The Library offers an easy-to-use desktop machine that allows individuals with vision loss to read or view printed materials, including books, magazines, and photographs. The Magnifier is located on the second floor. You can ask for assistance at the Reference Desk.
Library Collections
The Library collections include over 2,000 items available in large print, in addition to access to thousands more in the Old Colony Library Network. The Library also offers audiobooks, both in CD format and digital. eBooks are another good solution, as you are able to increase font sizes for improved visibility.
