Teens

teen-space-picA space for teens to read, learn, and explore.

The teen space is for students in grades 6-12. During afterschool hours (M-Th 2:30-6pm, F 2:30-5pm during the school year), the teen space is available exclusively to teens for homework, socializing, or any number of library programs. The space includes computers for browsing, gaming, or homework, and will connect you with the library’s digital resources and databases. The young adult collection in the teen room includes books, graphic novels, video games, and magazines. If you’re looking for something but don’t find it, feel free to make a suggestion!

The teen space is also where you can jump into our weekly teen programs. These include weekly video game meetups using the library’s Switch, a Dungeons & Dragons club, Teen Takeovers, and more! You can suggest new programs and help us make them happen by joining our Teen Advisory Board.

Teens are welcome to earn volunteer hours at the library! Our volunteer opportunities are listed on a Sign-up Genius located here. If you have questions about volunteering with the library, swing by the Teen Room and chat with Tyler, our teen librarian.
