March Wotiz Exhibit

Tuesday, March 31, 2026
TIME: LOCATION: Wotiz Gallery CONTACT: Micaela Soucy, 617.698.5757

During the month of March, the Wotiz Gallery will feature an exhibit by painter Carol Rothenstein that includes artwork from Twenty Paintings of 2020 and Two Series of Children.

“The pandemic began in 2020, which began as any other year and 12 months later, it ended like no other year. I created 20 paintings, during that time, of how people around the world were affected. The act of painting became my emotional release, but the drive to do the paintings was beyond personal reasons. The purpose became to document the realities of our time, not to deny them or turn away from them. I did twenty paintings in 2020, which was a fitting, though ironic, result of that chaotic year. Post 2020 is a second exhibit called Two Series of Children which portrays children in times of distress and in times of joy.”

An open reception will be held on Monday, March 9 from 6-8 PM.

Carol Rothenstein is a watercolor artist who has done oil painting, pen and ink drawings and sketching most of her life.
