The Blue Hills Deer Hunt/Virtual

Tuesday, October 21, 2025
TIME: 7pm - 8:30pm LOCATION: Virtual CONTACT: Reference Desk, 617-698-5757

This will be a one-hour virtual presentation by Naturalist and Photographer Bob Michelson called: “Hunting White-Tailed Deer in the Blue Hills.”

Join Bob, a wildlife photographer online via Zoom, as he investigates why there is even a hunt in the Blue Hills, so closely connected to major cities and towns in the Greater Boston area. We will look at the complete life history of the deer; management strategies behind the hunt, as well as how this may help to control the explosion in the spread of Lyme Disease to so many people in the cities, and towns that abut the reservation.

We hope you will join us to also see interesting photos by an excellent photographer, which will accompany this lecture.

Advance registration is required to receive the Zoom link, so please sign up here.  Registration opens 3 weeks before the program date.

You can register here!

This program is kindly sponsored by the Friends of the Milton Public Library and is free and open to all.  Questions?  Call the Reference Dept. at (617) 898-4964.
