The Music is the Magic Blues Concert

Join us for a fun, lively and family-friendly musical event featuring blues vocalist Michelle Willson and pianist Shinichi Otsu.

Help us celebrate Women’s History Month with songs (you probably know) by the fabulous singer Michelle Willson, who comes to us from Boston’s South Shore, and who is a uniquely talented powerhouse. You will hear tunes by some of the great classic singers of the 40s, 50s and 60s like Dinah Washington, Ruth Brown, Etta James and Abbey Lincoln.

Known to blues lovers around the world as “Evil Gal” and acknowledged by aficionados of jazz and blues as a passionate and gifted performer/songwriter, Michelle Willson has recorded and released critically acclaimed albums for Rounder/Bullseye Records, as well as a live album recorded at Scullers Jazz Club. Michelle will be accompanied by pianist Shinichi Otsu, upright bassist Marshall Wood, and guitarist Mike Williams of Berklee College of Music.  This event is sure to be an unforgettable show!
