The Boneheads-Brass Concert
Saturday, April 5, 2025
TIME: 2pm - 3pm LOCATION: Keys Community Room CONTACT: Jean Hlady, 617.698,5757Come to our Keys Community Room this afternoon starting at 2 PM for a very fun musical event with a group of zany and entertaining trombone players called “The Boneheads!” This music is definitely “something different” with 6 plus brass musicians, directed by the talented player Mark Snyder who hails from Milton.
The Boneheads are collectively a Trombone Choir which arose, seemingly spontaneously, from the trombone section of the Randolph Community Band in 2018. Assembled by professional bassist, trombonist, and composer Mark Snyder, the number of players in this ensemble ranges from five to ten, depending upon which of them are not in the witness program (as you can see, this is a direct quote and Mr. Snyder is a bit of a comedian…!).
And then he goes on to describe the group this way:
“The broad range of repertoire attempted by The Boneheads is surpassed only by their stunning good looks. The arrangements they sincerely try not to mangle include music by Stevie Wonder, The Beatles, Santana, and many dead white classical composers, including the beloved and well-known “Anonymous.” The Boneheads are available to play for divorces, funerals and executions. Don’t call us, we will find you…!”
So, we encourage you to come listen to these cool and unusual performers in April, as you do not need to sign up in advance. The concert is great for all ages and we hope to see you there!
