Wednesday Night Movie; Arthur the King

Wednesday, October 9, 2024
TIME: 6:30pm - 8:30pm LOCATION: Keys Community Room

Tonight there will be a free screening of the 2024 film called: “Arthur the King.”

This inspiring movie celebrating the human and animal spirit is the incredible true story of Michael Light (played by Mark Wahlberg) and the bond he forges with a scrappy street dog dubbed “Arthur the King.”  Light, a professional endurance racer desperate for one last win, convinces a sponsor to back him and put a team together for the punishing Adventure Racing World Championship in Santo Domingo.  While navigating the brutal course, Light and his team meet Arthur, who refuses to leave their side.  Pushing the team to the outer limits of endurance and sacrifice, Arthur redefines for Light what victory – and friendship – truly mean. The story is based on the book called: Arthur – The Dog Who Crossed the Jungle to Find a Home by Mikael Lindnord.   This movie is approx. 117 minutes long and is rated PG-13 for some strong language.  We hope you will join us!

No signup is required so just come and enjoy a movie night at the MPL!  This program is kindly sponsored by the Friends of the Milton Public Library and is free and open to all.
