Poetry Reading with Local Poets

TIME: 6:30pm - 8:30pm LOCATION: Keys Community Room CONTACT: Jean Hlady, 617.698.5757This evening 3 Massachusetts poets will read from their work, under the guidance of poet author Joshua Coben. All of these poets will share their most recent books with you in a very enjoyable evening in our Keys Community Room.
In addition to Mr. Coben, authors Karina Borowicz and Jim Henle will present their poems in this program.
Joshua Coben‘s first book of poetry, “Maker of Shadows” (Texas Review Press, c2010), won the X. J. Kennedy Poetry Prize. His second collection, “Night Chaser” (David Robert Brooks, c2020), was a finalist for the Vassar Miller Prize, the New American Poetry Prize, and the Donald Justice Poetry Prize. His poems have appeared in Atlantic Review, The Cincinnati Review, College English, Pleiades, Poet Lore, Poetry Daily, Salamander, and elsewhere. A longtime classroom teacher in the Milton Public Schools, he currently serves as the district’s elementary librarian.
Karina Borowicz‘s poetry collections include “Proof,” published by Codhill Press of New Paltz, NY and a French translation of selected works. Her poems and essays have appeared widely in journals, anthologies, and on public radio. She studied creative writing at Bard College and the University of New Hampshire.
Jim Henle’s poems and translations have been published in Salamander, LEON Literary Review, Consequence, Sanctuary and elsewhere. He lives in Jamaica Plain.
