TIME: LOCATION: Wotiz Gallery CONTACT: Micaela Soucy, 617.698.5757

During the month of July, the Wotiz Gallery will feature paintings by Bob Lake.

Born in Boston, raised and currently living in Milton, Bob attended the Milton Public School system and was active in student government and athletics. He then went on to graduate from Rutgers University with a degree in Psychology. With a grade of Second Lieutenant in Reserve Officer training and a new wife (who lived across the street), he was assigned to duty in the 3rd Air Force Division in London for two years, where they took advantage of the opportunity to travel and visited many European countries as newlyweds. Upon their return, they settled in Braintree and raised three children.

As a child, Bob showed interest in painting, observing his father who was a sketch artist. With no formal training, Bob has pursued his love of painting since then and has created hundreds of landscapes, portraits, and still life works using the dry brush watercolor approach. Many of these adorn the homes of lucky family and friends. As well as painting, you can often find him carving birds, of which he has an enormous collection as well, or happy in his vegetable garden.

An open artist reception will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 6-8 PM.
